Colored Hair Extensions

Colored Hair Extensions

Colored hair extensions are hair extensions that have been dyed or colored to a specific shade. Coloring hair extensions can be done in a variety of ways, including ombre, balayage, and highlights. When choosing a color for your extensions, it's important to consider your skin tone and natural hair color to ensure a seamless blend.

Coloring Virgin Indian Hair

If you're thinking about coloring your #1B virgin Indian hair, keep in mind that it's a relatively simple process as long as you stay within 3 to 4 levels of color. However, going from #1B to Platinum blonde requires bleaching and is not an easy process, as the hair can become damaged with the use of chemicals. Instead, it's recommended to go for Dark Brown, Medium Brown, or Jet Black, as these colors are easier to achieve. Since virgin hair is completely natural and unprocessed, it takes color just like your natural hair. However, it's crucial to consult a professional regarding coloring to prevent any unexpected results.

Coloring Hair That's Been Colored

To maintain the vibrancy of colored hair extensions and prevent unwanted tones, try toning colored hair or using purple shampoo. Seeking professional help for coloring or toning is important to prevent damage or breakage. Avoid using purple shampoo excessively, as it can dry out the hair, and make sure to care for your extensions with sulfate-free shampoo, regular conditioning, and avoiding excessive heat styling.

Hair Extension Coloring Tips

  • Use professional products and seek professional help when coloring extensions
  • Avoid coloring extensions at home to prevent damage and breakage
  • Properly care for colored extensions, including using purple shampoo to prevent brassiness
  • Be mindful of the potential complications that can arise from coloring extensions, such as damage and breakage
  • Seek professional help if you experience any issues with your colored extensions.
