Washing

Wash your wig every 10-15 wears, or when you notice product buildup. Use a sulfate-free, gentle shampoo to keep the cuticles smooth and prevent drying. Fill a basin with cool to lukewarm water, gently swish the wig through, and rinse thoroughly. Always follow with a hydrating conditioner, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends.

Good to Know

Minimal shedding of a few strands during brushing and washing is normal for all human hair extensions - just like your natural hair sheds daily. Excessive shedding (clumps or wefts coming apart) is not normal and should be reported to us immediately.

Like natural curly hair, the curl pattern may relax slightly over time with washing and heat styling. This is normal behavior for human hair, not a defect. To maintain the curl pattern, use curl-refreshing products and minimize heat styling.

Following these care steps keeps your extensions beautiful and protects your satisfaction guarantee. Tangling or matting from improper care is not covered under our return policy.

Will the U-Part Wig damage my hair?

No, it will not! Our u-part wigs are designed to give you the opportunity to give your hair a break from the heat, permanent extensions, help promote natural hair growth underneath and help prevent hair loss.

How do you remove your U-Part Wig?

You simply unclip the wig out of your hair! We recommend brushing out the wig and storing it in your perfect locks wig box or purple pouch.

Can I do a side part with my U-Part Wig?

Yes! Our u-part wigs allow you to create your own parting using your natural hair.

My hair is thin on top, would this be a good option for me?

If you are thinning your scalp, this item is not suitable for you. However, take a look at our toppers or hair fiber.

Am I able to put my hair up and try different hairstyles?

Yes! You are able to create many versatile hairstyles with our u-part wig. Ex. Ponytails, half up half down, bun, etc.

Try before you commit: While the hair is still in its security ties, you can check color match, feel the texture, and even wash or heat style a small section to make sure it's right for you. Great Quality

This is the second u-part I’ve purchased from Perfect Locks. The hair is consistently high quality, love the packaging, and have had great experiences with their customer service team. The only issue I’ve had with the u-part was that there were no clips at the bottom/nape portion of the wig to secure it, only clips at the top and sides.. so I ended up sewing a clip at the bottom of the wig to secure the lower portion. Otherwise, high quality hair with no tangling and minimal shedding.

I have never used a wig but I do use clip in extensions. It is definitely easier than clip in extensions and felt very secure.The quality of the hair is excellent and blended beautifully with my bangs.
