Perfect Locks Classic Tape-Ins are a staple in the world of hair extensions, loved for their secure hold and natural flow. These extensions are designed to lay flat against the scalp, providing a discreet and comfortable wear that lasts for weeks. Ideal for anyone looking to add volume or length without the hassle.
Classic Tape-Ins offer a balance of comfort, longevity, and style, making them a versatile choice for both everyday wear and special occasions.
Classic Tape-Ins have a traditional tape tab that is slightly thicker and more visible compared to Invisi Tapes. They’re ideal for medium to thick hair where the bonds can be easily hidden. Invisi Tape-Ins have a thinner, more discreet base that mimics the scalp—making them better for fine or thin hair and for placements near the hairline.
Classic Tape-Ins are applied by sandwiching a thin section of natural hair between two adhesive wefts. The tape lies flat against the head for a secure hold and natural blend when placed properly.
No, not when applied and removed by a professional. Classic Tapes are lightweight and safe for regular wear, especially for those with average to thick hair density.
Use a sulfate-free shampoo and wash gently in a downward motion. Avoid applying conditioner near the tape tabs—only apply it to mid-lengths and ends.
They last 6–8 weeks per wear and can be re-taped and reused 2–3 times with proper care and maintenance.
Start by creating clean, horizontal sections in the hair using a fine-tooth comb. Begin at the nape of the neck and work your way up. Clip the rest of the hair out of the way to keep sections neat. Each section should be thin enough for the tape to adhere securely without adding too much weight.
Wash and dry the hair using a clarifying shampoo to remove any oils or product buildup. This ensures the tape-in extensions adhere properly. Do not apply conditioner near the roots, as it can cause the tape to slip. Make sure the hair is completely dry before installation.
Take one tape-in weft and place it underneath the sectioned hair, close to the scalp but not directly touching it. Leave a small gap from the root to allow flexibility and prevent discomfort.
Press a second tape-in weft directly on top of the first, ensuring the natural hair is neatly sandwiched between the two tapes. Press firmly using your fingers or pliers to create a strong bond.
For extra hold, gently tap the taped area with a flat iron on low heat for 1-2 seconds. This helps the adhesive bond more securely without melting the tape. Avoid excessive heat to prevent damaging the adhesive.
