Halo Hair Extensions

A halo extension is a single weft of hair attached to a thin, invisible wire that sits on top of your head like a headband. Your own hair falls over the wire, hiding it completely. There are no clips, no glue, no heat - you literally just place it on your head and go. It's the easiest extension method out there, and it's completely damage-free since nothing is actually attached to your hair.

It does. The wire adjusts to fit your head and once it's sitting in place, your own hair holds it down. We hear this concern all the time and it surprises people how secure it feels - you can move, bend over, and go about your day without it shifting. For extra security on very active days, a couple of bobby pins at the temples is all you need.

This is actually one of the best methods for thin hair. Because there are no clips pulling on your strands and no adhesive creating tension, it's as gentle as it gets. The trick is to curl or wave the top layer of your natural hair along with the halo so everything blends together. Most people find that a quick pass with a curling iron does the job. You can also straighten the halo to match sleek, straight styles. Since it's 100% Remy human hair, it responds to heat tools just like your own. A little texturizing spray at the blending point goes a long way too.

With proper care, 6 to 12 months of regular use. Since there's no adhesive, clips, or bonds involved, the hair tends to last on the longer end because there's less mechanical stress. Just wash it gently every 15 to 20 wears, air dry when possible, and store it flat or hanging when you're not wearing it.

You can do a low ponytail or half-up style, but high ponytails and top knots can be tricky since the wire might become visible. If updos are a big part of your routine, clip-ins or tape-ins might be a better everyday fit. A lot of our customers keep a halo for down styles and clip-ins for when they want their hair up - best of both worlds.

Match your length to where you want your hair to fall, and match the weight to your hair's thickness. If your hair is fine, a lighter halo blends more naturally. Wash it every 15 to 20 wears or when you notice product buildup. Use a gentle sulfate-free shampoo, work from top to bottom without scrubbing, and rinse thoroughly. Lay it flat to air dry - never wring it or hang it by the wire while wet. Between washes, a light detangling spray keeps it smooth.
