They're actually the gentlest type of extension you can wear. Because they snap in and out, there's no glue, no heat, and no tension sitting on your hair overnight. The key is not clipping them into the exact same spot every day - shift your placement slightly and your natural hair stays perfectly healthy. If you have finer hair, our seamless clip-ins are even lighter and gentler on delicate strands.

This is the question that makes the biggest difference in how natural your extensions look. If your hair is fine or thin, go with a lighter set so the clips aren't weighed down. Medium to thick hair can handle our fuller sets. When in doubt, lighter is better - you can always layer for special occasions. Not sure where you fall? Absolutely - our clip-ins are 100% Remy human hair, so they respond to heat styling exactly like your own hair. Curl them, straighten them, blow them out, whatever you want. We just recommend using a heat protectant and keeping your tools under 350°F to get the longest life out of them. One of our favorite tricks: style the extensions before you clip them in. It's much easier than trying to blend while they're already on your head.

With proper care, you can expect 6 to 12 months of regular use - and even longer if you wear them a few times a week rather than daily. The biggest factors are how often you heat style them and how you store them. We always recommend laying them flat or hanging them after each wear, and washing them only when product builds up. Our lace weft clip-ins have a traditional stitched base - they're durable, full-bodied, and great for medium to thick hair. Our seamless clip-ins use a thinner silicone base that lays completely flat against your head, making them virtually undetectable. If you have fine or thin hair, seamless is the way to go. If you want maximum volume and have thicker hair to hide the wefts, lace weft gives you that fullness.

Getting the color right is everything. Start by matching to the mid-lengths and ends of your hair rather than your roots - that's where the extensions blend. If you're between two shades, go slightly darker since it's easier to blend down. Clip-ins are perfect if you want flexibility - put them in for a night out, take them out before bed, skip them on lazy days. No salon appointment, no commitment. Tape-ins are better if you want to wake up with extensions already in every day.
