Unlike other extensions that come ready to wear, bulk hair benefits from a good wash before installation. This removes any residue from processing and lets you see the hair's true texture. Soak the hair in cool water with a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo for 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly, apply a hydrating conditioner from mid-length to ends, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water to seal the cuticle. Lay flat on a towel and allow to air dry completely - this can take several hours depending on the length and texture.

For Braided Styles

Once your braids are installed, your care routine shifts to protecting both your natural hair and the extensions. Wash every 1-2 weeks using a diluted shampoo mixture - about one part sulfate-free shampoo to three parts water. Apply directly to your scalp using a squeeze bottle, then gently massage with your fingernails (not fingertips, which can cause frizz). Let the suds run down through the braids as you rinse. Never pile braids on top of your head or scrub them together.

Follow with a lightweight leave-in conditioner or braid spray. Focus on your scalp to prevent dryness and itching, then lightly mist the length of your braids. Heavy oils can cause buildup, so stick to lighter formulas.

Drying

Drying is critical - braids that stay damp can develop mildew and odor. After washing, gently squeeze sections with a microfiber towel, then sit under a hooded dryer on low heat until completely dry, or allow several hours for air drying. Never go to bed with damp braids.

Nighttime Protection

Your nighttime routine makes a huge difference in how long your style lasts. Wrap your braids in a satin or silk scarf, or use a satin bonnet. If your braids are long, you can loosely gather them into a low ponytail before wrapping. Alternatively, sleep on a satin pillowcase - though wrapping provides more protection.

Scalp Care

The hair is beautiful. It is soft and doesn't tangle. However, I ordered a 1b and received brown hair. I called customer service and was told that this is normal due to the fact that the hair is human and natural and that i could dye it. I dyed the hair (which was a pain in the butt). It turned out great.

Good quality

Nice quality however should not be sold as nor marketed as Straight Bulk Hair. This hair does not hold straight look long. Reverts back to a nice curly look but doesn't suffice for individuals not interested in the curly look...like myself.

Good Experience

Overall the experience and ease of buying the hair is great. The hair is a little dry (bulk, straight), I thought it would be more silky but it is NOT. However, the hair has served its purpose and I cannot complain. It's a little thinner at the ends than expected. I will be back though to buy more maybe a little longer and different texture.

typically very happy, but a note...

I normally LOVE your products, but my latest purchase was a bit disappointing. My latest bundles had more short ends than typical. my braids are now less full and the ends have more split ends. I know there are variations which each bundle, but please try to ensure the same great quality you're known for! thank you!!

Choosing the length

i love perfect locks, but I was not happy with the curly bulk hair. I ordered the 10 inch hair (which I admit, I should\\'ve got longer hair) & most of the hair was 8 inches! I later found out that the curly hair is measured when it\\'s straight. I was disappointed with the length especially, and I expected this to be a lot better than how it turned out!So if you must get this hair, get at least 14 inches to be satisfied!

Hair lasted forever!!

I braided my hair with this hair and loved it! The hair actually lasted wash after wash. My braids were ready to come down from new growth and the loose bundled hair was still great. I even reused it !!
