Hello gorgeous! Priyanka here and it’s been a month now from the biggest event we’ve ever done and this year we did something special…we partnered with Yelp! Since 2004 Yelo has given a voice to communities everywhere by giving real reviews from real people on everything from restaurants to EVEN hair salons and our beautiful showroom here in Walnut Creek, California. We partnered with them to invite out the Yes! 2023 team (Yelper Elite Squad) to discover and experience our complete array of wigs, extensions and life changing confidence boosters for women struggling with hair loss.
We kicked off the event at 6:00pm on May 18th, opening the doors to our guests after our team spent the entire preparing for an evening that would DAZZLE. The entire showroom was decorated in our colors of purples, silver and gold, complete with piles of balloons and an arch made over a special Red Carpet selfie area where Yelpers could take photos for Yelp and their socials.
As things kicked off, outside we had stations with free food and drinks including some lovely chicken paella, elote in a cup (a popular Mexican street food) cucumber bites and even dainty little cake bites.
As Yelpers filtered in, they entered to win one of three different raffle prizes if they submitted a Yelp check-in, including everything from a $500 gift care with haire to free hair services by the Perfect Locks team at our studio!
After a brief welcome speech I wrote and toasted our guests, the festivities began! Inside we had live music from a DJ as well as various stations and demonstration areas set up for guests to mix, mingle, and get their glam on.
We offered free installation of summer fun hair tinsel extensions as well as eyelash extensions. Elsewhere we had a demo area with our most popular product: clip-in hair extensions. All guests had the opportunity to have a professional color and texture match to dream up their perfect hair look for summer and beyond.
The event continued through 9pm with swag bag giveaways, raffle prize winner announced and most importantly, every single guest experienced what I’ve known to be true: feeling good about yourself is attainable with the right stylist and the right tools.
For me, this event is one of the most memorable we’ve ever done. With my husband Guy at my side, and our entire team of gorgeous, talented, empowered and knowledgeable women and men it was something special. We called this event #BeautyUnlocked because all too often we struggle with the hair we were born with, or in cases of life threatening illness hair we lose in the fight of our lives.
Here, in this place, in this building that is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream of mine, we helped every woman walk out the door feeling our truest and most beautiful self. Gorgeous isn’t just how you look on the surface as you hit the sidewalk with a more confident step, it’s something you feel in your soul at home when you look in the mirror and say, “yes girl.”
