Your stylist parts a clean row and pulls small sections of your natural hair through the holes along the top of the weft. Each section is secured with a small bead, and the weft sits over the beads to hide them. There is no sewing, glue, or heat.

- Total life of the hair: 6 to 12 months, reused across move-ups
Where you land in that 6 to 12 month range depends mostly on your move-ups. As your hair grows, the weft drops further from your scalp and its weight starts pulling on your roots. Push past 8 weeks and the hair near the beads begins to mat. Detangling that matting is what wears out the hair and the weft. Keep your move-ups on time and you get closer to 12 months. Skip them and the hair may not make it past a few.
