Extension Style How-To: Effortless Boho Braids

Thu, Sep 28, 17

effortless boho braids

Bohemian style, as it was originally called, was always a fashion style linked with relaxed and original hairstyles, clothes and accessories. It was a ‘natural’ look even before natural, rural themes became a major trend in our eco-aware century! Based originally on the traditional styles of Bohemian village-women, Boho hairstyles and fashion clothes have become a favorite amongst 21st century women of all ages. It’s also incredibly easy to create with a barrel iron and Perfect Locks Virgin Clip-In hair extensions! These laid-back loose, flowing curls and a hint of eye-liner creates a delightfully carefree look for autumn that is always on trend. After applying your Perfect Locks Extensions as usual, here’s how to style them into stunning boho braids:

Step 1

Part the hair into the middle and dispense a flexible hold mousse of your choice with a little Perfect Locks Inspire Silk Serum throughout the hair and blow dry in inch wide sections with a large round brush concentrating on applying root volume.

Step 2

Take inch long sections either side of the part and French braid the hair forward and continue down the full length of the hair and fasten with a clear elastic.

Step 3

After you have finished the plaits, take long vertical sections spray with PERFECT LOCKS Inspire Leave-In Conditioner and curl towards the face, clipping up the curl as you go and allow them to set. Use a round barrel curling iron or a wider wand.

Step 4

After the curls have set in clip them and brush through with a large Denman dressing out brush to create that softer wave.

Step 5

When the curls are dressed out take both plaits and pull them out to give them a wider appearance and grip them to the back of the head just below the crown.

Step 6

Give the whole style a light mist of a flexible hold hair spray to finish.
