Sparkle Like Meghan Markle with These Royal Looks

The Duchess of Sussex is already setting major trends as a new royal. As we all know, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle said their “I do’s” last Saturday, and we’re predicting that Meghan’s “messy bun” style will be the look many brides will be clamoring for this season! Meghan’s hair has been a hot topic ever since she and Prince Harry became an item. She is known for being laid back so it’s no surprise that her hair reflects that as well. Her signature style is a messy bun, more often than not a perfectly messy chignon with her famous face framing tendrils and we love it!

Chic, Disheveled Wedding Look

Many people believed that Meghan would wear her hair down, however, she and celebrity stylist Serge Normant (stylist to the stars such as Blake Lively and Sarah Jessica Parker) decided to break royal protocol and stay true to her style by creating a perfectly chic messy bun. This style is incredibly simple yet utterly timeless. Serge revealed that this look took a mere 45 minutes to an hour and only required a few bobby pins. He simply blow dried Meghan’s hair, creating a middle part to accentuate the tiara, and wrapped her hair into a loose yet structured chignon. The duo decided to keep her tendrils tucked behind her ear to keep the look simple and elegant. Harry couldn’t keep his eyes off of his beautiful bride!

If you’re looking to add a little volume to your do’ but don’t want a permanent solution like tape ins or a weave, an easy fix is our clip-in volumizer from our line of remy clip-in hair extensions. Just clip it in and style as usual. Achieve the volume you want in a matter of minutes!

Bold Bouffant for the Reception

For the reception, Meghan switched things up to a look we are more familiar with. This time her hair was styled by George Northwood (celebrity clients include Poppy Delevingne and Alexa Chung) who created a smaller chignon with a dramatic bouffant while letting her trusty tendrils hang freely. You can recreate this look by backcombing your hair to create a bouffant, then twist your hair and pin it down. Finish off the look by slightly curling the hair around your face for a softer look.

Which look will you be wearing for your wedding? Why choose? Just wear both like Duchess Meghan did and enjoy your moderately messy-chic look! Don’t forget, no look is complete without a beautiful set of faux eye
lashes. Achieve Meghan’s sweet look with our Fiery Flirt lashes, or go all out with our mink eyelash extensions. And at the end of the night, make sure you remove those salon perfect lashes the correct way!
