Selecting a Fall Coat that Flatters Your Figure

Selecting a coat for the fall time and winter ahead will help with your overall ensemble as well as keep you warm. If you have a plus size or petite figure, here are some tips on what type of jacket or coat to buy for the cold seasons ahead.
If you have a plus sized frame discover shapely A-line jackets that gracefully skim over your curves. Slimming and straight, an A-line jacket will look great with a pair of jeans and even flatter a head full of Curly Colored Indian Hair Extensions.
A leather jacket like you see in the photo to the right looks very slimming on a plus-size body and often comes in a variety of colors. The most popular colors are black and brown because these colors go with any outfit including a dress if you want an edgy look for the evening. If it is genuine leather the jacket will stay in great condition for the years to come as opposed to faux leather or vinyl. Depending on your budget go shopping for a coat that looks great and will keep you warm during the winter time.
If you are built with a petite frame you'll want to invest in a coat that does not overwhelm your body. Go for a tailored jacket and make sure it goes above your knees to enhance your height. A jacket with ruffles like in the picture to the right will help elongate the body. The beautiful detailing is very sweet and feminine.
A shrunken styled jacket looks best on a petite frame and another option is selecting from fun and funky patterns for a new jacket, which will give the illusion of height. Pair a ruffled jacket with a pair of high heels that will flatter a figure and help with additional height as well.
There are several additional body types to consider when picking out a jacket for the fall time. Perhaps we will cover this in a future post. Keep the jacket styles in mind that we've mentioned so far and you'll find a jacket that works perfectly for your figure.
