I-tipped Fusion Hair Extensions

U-tipped Fusion Hair Extensions

Sometimes called “nail tips”, the u-tip melts the keratin at the end of the strand using a hot hair extension iron, which is then attached to the natural hair. U-tips can only be applied using the hot fusion method. The heat from the extension iron won’t damage the hair, it’s not as hot as a standard curling or flat iron. U-tipped extensions are popular because the attachment area can be very small and customized by trimming the end of the extension to mate with the hair.
