The Oscar for an Actress in a Leading Role with the Best Tresses Goes to...

AnnDo you plan on watching the 85th Academy Awards tomorrow, Sunday evening? We do and we will be sure to report back with who we think was best dressed and had the most amazing tresses! This year there were some great films and even greater actresses who stole the spotlight. Even though we were no doubt  impressed by their acting, it was also fun to admire their tresses while they acted away on the big screen.

Even though some of the actresses had to go to drastic measures with their tresses (i.e. Anne Hathaway who shaved her tresses live on screen during Les Miserables), we couldn't help but fall in love with all of the different hairstyles. If we could give an Oscar for some of the best hairstyles we viewed both on and off screen for actresses who starred in brilliant films this year, here's just some of the women we would choose:

Anne Hathaway who Starred in Les Miserables:

Even though Anne is not up for best actress in a leading role, her hair certainly deserves an Oscar, both before and after she cut it during the film! Not only didAnne 2 she break our hearts with her plea to keep her darling daughter Cosette (played by Amanda Seyfried) alive, but Anne also stole our hearts with her gorgeous tresses! Today Anne's short hairstyle looks amazing on her, but we can't help but miss her long tresses too. Never fear though - her hair will grow back and until then we will embrace her shorter hairdo', or perhaps she'll decide to get some hair extensions!

Naomi Watts who Starred in The Impossible:

Naomi Watts did an amazing job acting in The Impossible and matter of fact she is up for an Oscar as Best Actress in a Leading Role for her great work on the film! Her hair most definitely did not look that great after the tsunami hit Thailand in the movie, but in real life and at the very beginning of the film, Naomi managed to win us over with her beachy waves and beautiful smile. What did you think of this intense yet touching film?

Silver LiningsJennifer Lawrence who Starred in Silver Linings Playbook:

Jennifer certainly got our attention in the film Silver Livings Playbook, which is up for Best Picture and Jennifer is also up for Best Actress in a Leading Role to boot! Not only did Jennifer act wonderfully in Silver Linings, but her long tresses looked ravishing throughout the entire movie. Either up in a ponytail with wispy bangs or long and lovely with a slight curl, Jennifer's mane always looked well kept. It also looked nice whenever her leading man Bradley Cooper was around! We're secretly rooting for her to win at the Oscars as well. Are you?

Jessica Chastain who Starred in Zero Dark Thirty:

Jessica Chastain is also up for Best Actress and she did one heck of a job in ZeroJessica Dark Thirty! During the film she either kept her red mane sleek in a ponytail or long and natural when she was out in the dessert; either way her hair looked great. In real life her red-hot tresses look even better; in fact we can't wait to see how she styles her hair and what she wears to the 85th Academy Awards tomorrow!

Whom would you pick for best hairstyle in a film?
