don’t do this when wet!!!!!!!! either do it when hair is completely dry and lightly MIST with water or get hair completely wet and then wait until hair 90% dry. this give you the look but over night instead over days

For those of you who have really thick or really long hair, the knot part of this can be done when the hair is almost dry. If you spray it lightly with some water, and then use a pomade, you can knot before bed, and take them out when you wake up. It is actually less effective when knotted wet and tends to dry creased and frizzy. I have INCREDIBLY thick and difficult hair that refuses to curl with a curling iron, and this method is my GODSEND.

Sometimes I just do it dry but use a misting bottle with water and very good leave in conditioner and oil… the hair doesn’t need to be saturated just moist to get good results and protect from breaking while twisting.

You can do them dry. Just use a good misturizer and oil and wear them overnight. Mine come out very nice.

I’ve been doing this for years with just a single low “bun” at the back of my head. Leaving it secured overnight gives the softest curls the next day. I love this hairstyle!

how will the bantu knots work on transitioning hair. i have been without a relaxer since jan 2012 and i have quite a bit of new growth but about 8 inches of relaxed hair left.
