Get Beach Waves Using Your Flat Iron!

    beach waves hair

Beach waves are a favorite go-to style for most ladies, especially during the summer months.  It is such an easy, effortless style that can be dressed up for glamour or dressed down for a more casual look.  Some get their beach wave hairstyle using a curling wand, but everyone may not own a curling wand or if travelling, may not have had room to pack an additional hair tool.  But most women have at the very least a flat iron, right?

Well, celebrity hairstylist Angela Christine of WEtv's hit show LA Hair shows us how to achieve a gorgeous beach wave hairstyle using just your flat iron!  She begins by blow drying the hair extensions of her client, showing that this style can be done while wearing straight, wavy or curly extensions - simply straighten the hair with a light blow out.  Next, separate a section of hair and fashion it into a pin curl by rolling the hair around two (or three) of your fingers.  Once you've rolled  to almost your scalp, remove your fingers and press the pin curled hair between the plates of your flat iron for five to ten seconds to create the wave.  Allow the hair to drop and move on to the next section until your entire head is curled.  Rake through with your fingers to generate perfectly messy beach waves and finish with a bit of holding spray. Watch as Angela demonstrates below:

Thanks Angela for showing us a new technique, we love your results!
